Boise: Why People Never Want to Leave
With more and more people moving into the City of Trees, Boise continues to mold to its new residents- inviting them to become locals. With these changes our downtown art scene is exploding, bringing new ideas and life into the city, while still reveling in the tried and true culture of Idaho’s capitol city. As the city’s citizens become more diverse, they find the depth of culture mixed with the plethora of outdoor adventure opportunities thrilling, making them long to call Boise home. Boise welcomes its locals (and newcomers) into a fresh and booming cultural experience. Every night of the week there is something new and inviting to experience. Whether its flamenco classes taught by traditional Spanish dancers, underground indie concerts brimming with talent and excitement, live painters capturing their subject’s nuanced smiles, and chefs creating palates that transport even the strictest Boise foodie. We have it all here in Boise; the Northwest’s smallest, big city. Idahoans relish in the size of our capitol city. It enables us to enjoy the vast nightlife, while still spending the day wrapping ourselves up in the natural wonders Boise has to offer. During the day, enjoy the 25 miles of Boise greenbelt, (just watch out for bikers along the way) or you can hike for hours through the foothills, enjoying multiple vistas overlooking our beautiful Treasure Valley. If there is one thing we all know; Boise is the best small, big city around. Just watch us talk to newcomers about our hometown. Our eyes light up and we are more than ready to tell you which part of the foothills to hike or which restaurant has the best live music. We may even invite ourselves to join you if you’re up for it! We take so much pride in our great city and we think you should too, because once you become a local, you’ll realize why people never want to leave!
